AMC Theatres, the largest national movie chain in the country, has recently gotten into the cryptocurrency space as a move to secure additional revenues. Originally, Dogecoin was accepted by the theatres as of the Fall of 2021, however it had limited capacity, only being accessible via gift cards up to a certain dollar amount. The addition of Shiba Inu, in conjunction with the BitPay wallet platform, is part of a long term plan to align the company with the currency of the future. The move has also shown a marked improvement in earnings potential as the company showed a total of 14% of online revenues coming from users who used the cryptocurrency method as their source of payment for services.
